Holidays are always a good to catch up on reading, and a number of our competitors will be on Half Term some time in the next two weeks, so we invited our old friends The Book Brothers to give you some of their recommendations for holiday reading. As it is the 24th anniversary of Alex Rider, we couldn’t begin this list without recommending the Alex Rider series and especially Nightshade Revenge. We were lucky enough to meet Anthony Horowitz recently and we were delighted that the option of another Alex Rider book is still there!
Anthony Horowitz has had a lot of success with his Alex Rider books but many people have forgotten about his other series and as Halloween is coming up, we recommend The Falcon’s Malteser.
While we are on the Halloween theme, Jennifer Killick has written two spooky series called Crater Lake and Dreadwood.
Our final two half term recommendations are The Soul Hunters and the Bodyguard series by Chris Bradford. The Soul Hunter books combine history with action and the Bodyguard series is also action packed and makes a great read.
