I found the key and decoded the ciphertext but it keeps saying my solution is wrong and my score is 0…. Also the text doesn’t seem to end on a proper word. Any clues to what I did wrong?

You have probably just missed a chunk of the text. Take another look, Harry

any clues for 9A – is it a 1 step process or multiple cipher steps? we have looked at some ideas, and are seeing some words form, but also lots of jumbled letters still

    Hi!

Any hints for the key for 9A? We have tried a few options but they don’t seem to work. Do we need to do multiple things in order to get the decoded message?

    Thanks 🙏

It is a one step process, perhaps it would help if you used Kasiski’s test to find Keyword length? Or a crib, thinking about Challenge 8 for example?
If this hint is allowed of course? Good luck! 🙂

We should all stand four-square behind this excellent hint! 🙂

I have solved 9B but I am still struggling on 9A. I have tried different many key words and think I have the correct length but I can’t find the correct key word. Any hints would be appreciated if allowed?

Since Challenge 9 is nearly finished I will disclose that the key for 9A is made up of three words. Does that help? Harry

Slightly. I will have to start again since I assumed the key was one word (a multiple of three). Any clues on the words would be great but this is already helpful, thanks.

I have no clue if Harry will let my post through, but you should take the hint for Part A a lot more literally – I hope this helps!

I was wondering if you can do part B but not A and still go through to the next challenge? I’m pretty sure you can but I wanted to check just in case as I don’t think I’m going to be able to do 9A tonight,

Yes you can! Have fun. Harry

I don’t really know what to do with part A. I know it’s three words however I have tried all the words in the hint and can’t seem to find the key. I think I have the first two words. If its allowed I would appreciate any hints

    For 9A
    The keyword was:
    TRIPLECROSSDEVIL (Length of 16)
