8A and 8B swapped?

I was having a lot of trouble with 8A and decided to move onto 8B. I managed that one more easily, but the contents of the message, along with the hints, made me wonder if 8A and 8B have been put the wrong way around? Or is this deliberate?
any clues on how to solve 8B?
Now that im thinking about it, it sound deliberate, having to flip the text (writing this 2 hours before 8 closes) for part A so the hint to that is the fact that parts A and B are flipped so solving part B gives you you hint to part A but in actuality, you are solving part A for the hint to part B
