The National Cipher Challenge

Codenames

Delighted to thank Czech Games for kindly donating a copy of their game Codenames to be awarded alongside certificates, medals and prizes at the Cipher Challenge prizegiving at Bletchley Park on February 19th.

Two rival spymasters know the secret identities of 25 agents. Their teammates know the agents only by their CODENAMES.

The teams compete to see who can make contact with all of their agents first. Spymasters give one-word clues that can point to multiple words on the board. Their teammates try to guess words of the right color while avoiding those that belong to the opposing team. And everyone wants to avoid the assassin.

Codenames: win or lose, it’s fun to figure out the clues.

As soon as we saw it we thought this game would appeal to the National Cipher Challenge community. If you have already played it and enjoyed it then let us know in the Forum. If not, then take a look at the webpage, we think you might like it!
