Quite a common question and I am pleased to say that the answer is yes. Probably best to register a teacher account, as those are automatically marked as non-eligible but allow you to set up a team to compete. You wouldn’t be the first. We had a lovely message last Christmas on Twitter from someone who did just that: “Good morning Harry and Jodie, Just sent an email to [email protected]. We’ve crossed paths before, and I hope this message finds you well. As the holiday season approaches, I wanted to express my gratitude for your message as I have, I broke 10A & 10B on December 14th. This year, I worked tirelessly in my own room, learning different ciphers and writing code in preparation for this year. I’ve achieved my dream, and it’s the best Christmas present ever. While it may be a year late, and I understand I won’t have the opportunity to earn a medal or certificate, I still aspire to inspire others. I would be honoured if my account could be considered for release to future competitors. Wishing you both a joyful holiday season and a Merry Christmas!”
