Tried Polybius and no luck so far, I think it’s some form of variation of it, can someone point me in the right direction?

    HELP!

I have been seeing some of the past posts about challenge 8B, and I have taken some of their advices. However, I have correctly identified the key word and type of cipher, but when I decoded it, half the message was correct and the other half was complete gibberish!

Any suggestions as to why this is going wrong would be much appreciated! Thx so much! Xx

Have you noticed that only half if gibberish. Maybe if you did something the other way round the other half would work…

8b hint: find the longest repeated sequences you can. Where do these occur in the ciphertext? Does each repeat of a given sequence always start at an even/odd offset, and is this what you expect from a polybius cipher?

Maybe you can find different repeated sequences of the same length? What does that tell you?
