    Hi!

Don’t forget to look at the tips just above where it says how long you have left (if you haven’t already), it helped me out a lot!

Good luck! I hope you manage to crack it

Also reading the previous ones can help you to know who you are writing it too.

I also am struggling – don’t know whether 8A is a vigenere, transposition, or a mixture of the two. Also I am confused as to who is writing – as in the tips it says that Kaiser has done something to mess it up. Please help!

Anyone got any clues on 8B. I tried using the same cipher as 7B but got nowheree. I’m trying to use keywords and still am not getting anywhere. Any suggestions.

Same here, nothing seems to work.

Any clues on 8A? I have absolutely no clue who it is being written to and from, and which cipher is used.

Makes it a lot harder, doesn’t it! Muahaha. Harry

I ended up solving 8B with no clues on what to do with 8A

maybe if you twist the text around you’ll see!

I also need help on 8B. I am unsure whether the original numbers ciphertext should be altered before applying the Polybius Square (which I assume is part of the decoding) or applying the Polybius Square on the numbers first, resulting in letters which can be decoded from there.

Thank you for your hint @Enchantress-of-Numbers! I had decrypted the text twice but this helped me get to the final plaintext, as I was struggling with that last step.

You could say it’s been turned upside down….

(if harry will allow this hint, of course)

If you are struggling I would try and solve part B first, it contains a massive hint as to what is going on. Also we don’t have any cribs so I would use the frequency counter on the BOSS resources to try and help solve it. Hope this was helpful.

It’s one of the two, what Kaiser did to make it “harder” is very simple, just try random stuff and you’ll get it hopefully
    I’m still stuck on 8b though…
