Bletchley Park Prizegiving

We already told you that this year’s prize giving event will be presented by the official poet laureate of the competition, Harry Baker, many of you will already know (the other) Harry and you know that this will be a special event. We are delighted to announce that we will also be welcoming the fabulous Guardian puzzle columnist Alex Bellos to speak at the ceremony. Alex’s columns are always fun and fascinating and he has written a number of very popular books, including Alex’s Adventures in Numberland. We have tried to book Alex before, but he is very busy and we are very excited that we were able to find a date he was free this year.

Our top codebreakers will be invited to Bletchley on February 19th to receive their medals and certificates, so put the date in your diary.

In the meantime, if you are trying to find a gift for the mathematician in your life then take a look at Harry’s and Alex’s pages on Amazon for some great ideas.
